The violent death of the American George Floyd has triggered an intense debate on racism and police violence in the USA, which has also made a big splash in Europe. In the series “Auf ein Bütterken mit Marie Jahoda/Auf ein Herrengedeck mit Marie Jahoda” the Bochum historian JProf. Dr. Rebecca Brückmann classifies the events and reports on continuities and breaks in the US-American discussion.
